Silhouette

The Adventures of Prince Achmed, 1926, was a German animated fairytale film by Lotte Reiniger. It is the oldest surviving animated feature film where is involves manipulated cutouts made from cardboard and thin sheets of lead under a camera.

I watched a few clips of the video just to get a understanding of silhouette and how they could be used in another way. I love the choice of colour and the style suits the fantasy story thus would suit the mythological stories of Indian culture. Definitely going to develop some sort of silhouette form in my designs.
